Man Dies At Hank Williams Jr. Concert

AUBURN HILLS, MI (CelebrityAccess) — Oakland County Sheriff’s officials said that a man died from injuries sustained at a concert at at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Sunday night.

According to a report in the Oakland Press, Sheriff's deputies working security at the concert responded to a call for help and found an injured 55-year-old man on the ground with a bleeding head wound. Witnesses at the scene had detained a teenager they claim pushed the injured main.

The injured man was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac where he subsequently died.

Oakland Press said that the 15-year-old teenager was held overnight while sheriff’s detectives investigated the matter. Witnesses say that the teenager allegedly pushed the man, who fell and struck his head on the cement concourse floor.

“Preliminary information said that kind of a shoving altercation was occurring between the teenager and the victim,” Bouchard said. “Early information is that it actually precipitated by the victim.”

Sheriff's officials also noted that the victim and the teenager were part of the same party and were acquainted. The prosecutor's office is reviewing the case to determine if criminal charges are warranted. – Staff Writers
