Man Sues Hammerstein Ballroom Over Injuries Sustained

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A concert-goer has filed a lawsuit against the Hammerstein Ballroom over injuries sustained during a concert at the venue.

According to the New York Post, Yosef Allen, 24, of Sheepshead Bay, was injured at an October 21, 2012 show by French artists Justice when another patron fell from the second floor balcony and landed on Allen.

Allen claims that the incident left him with torn knee ligaments, lower back pain and traumatic brain injuries and that he was sidelined from work for 5 months. The other individual involved in the incident was not identified and reportedly left the venue after the fall under his own volition.

Allen's lawsuit blames the venue for allowing patrons to be "to be unruly," drink “excessive amounts of alcohol” and for failing "to furnish proper guardrails on the upper levels and balconies." – Staff Writers
