Manics To Headline At V2002

The Manic Street Preachers are to headline the NME stage at V2002. It will be their first gig this year.

They will replace the Chemical Brothers who are now performing on the main stage instead of Travis who pulled out when drummer Neil Primose injured his neck in a swimming pool accident.

The Manics release a greatest hits album 'Forever Delayed' in October along with their first single in over a year, as yet untitled. A book of exclusive pictures will also be released with the album.

Other artists playing the festival include headliners Stereophonics, Primal Scream, Basement Jaxx and Mercury Music Prize nominated Doves.

V2002 takes place at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford on August 17 and 18.
