NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran chanteuse Mariah Carey appeared to have vocal trouble during a live performance at NBC's annual "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" tree-lighting special on Wednesday.
Carey missed a number of her signature high notes during her rendition of the song "All I Want for Christmas Is You," to her own apparent annoyance.
According to TMZ, Carey had been slated to pre-tape her appearance, but after showing up 3 hours late, she ended up performing live instead.
"Last night's situation was beyond my control," Carey later tweeted. "I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you."
Carey was dogged by complaints about vocal issues during her "Elusive Chanteuse" tour in October as well.
