TAMPA, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Vince McGilvra, a longtime fixture of the Tampa music scene, has announced that he's stepping down from day-to-day management duties at Skipper's Smokehouse.
McGilvra and his partner, Tom White bought the Smokehouse in in 1980 and have since turned it into one of the more popular live music venues in the city.
Taking over marketing duties will be Vince's "long time friend" Mark Warren and while McGilvra will retain his 50% ownerships take in the club, he will disintermediate himself from operations.
Tom's retirement will take effect at the end of June, allowing him to devote more time to gardening and travel. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
