Melbourne International Music And Blues Festival Returns For Second Year


MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess News Service) — After its successful debut earlier this year, the Melbourne International Music & Blues Festival (MIMBF) returns to the banks of the Yarra, February 7-8. This year's festival boasts two full days of non-stop, first class music and entertainment including 35 acts on three stages with a 'Bourbon Street' setting on the banks of The Yarra – with food and wine, all against the spectacular backdrop of the city of Melbourne.

Some of the artists scheduled to appear on February 7 are Bryan Ferry, The Pretenders, The Wailers, Cruel Sea, Richard Clapton, Tony Joe White, Jeff Lang, Xavier Rudd, Pete Murray, Steve Avery & Pete Cornelius, The Backsliders, Lloyd Spiegel Band, Fruit, Bondi Cigars, Mia Dyson, The Dili Allstars, The Rip, Keith Glass & Mick Hamilton, Matt Walker, Fiona Boyes, Kieran Murphy and Abbie Caldwell.

Among those artists scheduled to perform on February 8 are Chicago, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Cray Band, Renee Geyer, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, Tony Joe White, Jeff Lang, Xavier Rudd, Pete Murray, Tommy Emmanuel, Backsliders. Mia Dyson, Mr Blues, John Cleary & The Monster Gentlemen, Soul Sisters, Tinsley Waterhouse, Louis King & The Lions Club, Chubby Rae & The Elevators, Andrea Marr's Blues Train, and the Australian Music Week winner. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
