NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Miranda Lambert has cancelled her upcoming Australian tour due to illness with a respiratory infection.
She was due to start the tour this Friday in Melbourne as the support for Alan Jackson.
“I was very much looking forward to Australia with Alan Jackson and performing for all the music lovers down under,” said Lambert.
Jasmine Rae and McAlister Kemp will now fill the spot.
Australian country star John Williamson will replace Lambert at the CMC Rocks the Hunter this weekend.
Miranda's mother posted the following comment on her site:
"With extreme disappointment over the cancellation of Miranda's trip to Australia we ask that you join us in sending good wishes for Ran for a speedy recovery as we nurse her back to health. We will see to it that she receives the best of care to get her back on her feet and on tour as quickly as possible."
