Global Spectrum named Kelvin Moore as the new general manager of the 237,000-sq. ft. Overland Park Convention Center in Overland park, KS. Moore, formerly assistant general manager of the Global Spectrum-managed Greater Richmond Convention Center, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Overland Park Convention Center, including scheduling and booking, marketing and selling sponsorships, as well as handling the financial responsibilities and obligations to the City of Overland Park as it pertains to the facility.
“Kelvin has an extensive background in operating convention centers and will be the perfect compliment to the Overland Park Convention Center,” said Global Spectrum President Michel Sauers. “He is a proven leader and one we know will make the Overland Park Convention Center the pride of the region.”

Prior to joining Global Spectrum at the expanded Greater Richmond Convention Center in 2003, Moore was events services manager for the San Antonio Convention Facilities Department in San Antonio, TX. From 1996-2001, he was events coordinator and assistant project coordinator at the Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ.
