NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Morrissey manager Merck Mercuriadis recently talked up the prospects for his client Morrissey to release a new album in the near future as soon as the ink is dry on a contract with a new label.
The album, which is "absolutely written and completely ready" according to Mercuriadis in an interview with Billboard, and provisionally planned for September 2008. Jerry Finn, the man behind Morrissey's "You Are The Quarry" has also been "definitely" described as the producer.
Mercuriadis also commented on a forthcoming hits compilation which will include a pair of new tracks and serve as the focus of a new tour set currently in the planning stages for early next year.
