Moscow Stages First Annual International Jazz Fest


MOSCOW (CelebrityAccess News Service) – Moscow staged its first international jazz festival, September 19-22. The International Moscow Jazz Festival, held at the State Concert Hall, featured David Sanborn, Gato Barbieri, Earl Klugh, Larry Carlton, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Al Jarreau, Ana Caram, Ronny Jordan and Gotan Project. In all, 130 jazz compositions were performed.

At the festival's conclusion, a gala jam session was staged with Jarreau, Clarke, Duke, Caram, Barbieri and Igor Butman.

The festival, which will be annual event, was produced by ICA/International Concert Agency; talent was booked by Jeff Epstein of Universal Attractions. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
