HELSINKI, Sweden (VIP NEWS) — MTV has launched a new festival for up and coming artists, taking place at Circus Nightclub in Helsinki on September 11.
In association with the brand`s Push franchise, names on the bill include Charli XCX, Oliver Heldens, Becky Hill and Redrama.
The live show will feature at the centre of a three day pop culture festival. In partnership with the City of Helsinki, the festival will showcase the Finnish capital’s music and cultural scene to international youth audiences through a number of curated events.
Bruce Gillmer, EVP Talent & Music, MTV, Viacom International Media Networks said, “We’re thrilled to roll out the very first Push festival in beautiful Helsinki. Over the past six years, Push has become one of the most significant music platforms for new and developing talent and we couldn’t imagine a stronger line-up for this year’s inaugural event”.
The event will be filmed and edited into a 30-minute TV special that will broadcast across MTV’s international channels. As part of the partnership, the City of Helsinki will be the official sponsor of MTV Push for three months between August and October 2014.
The city will also host a number of satellite events – spanning music, style and entertainment – featuring emerging talent and interactive workshops.
