(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Mathew Knowles’ urban artist management firm Music World Entertainment has appointed leading Middle Eastern promoter Mirage Promotions to exclusively represent its artists in a string of territories.
Following the agreement, Mirage will handle all MWE’s clients in Greece, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Qatar and other Middle Eastern territories.
Houston-based MWE’s stable of acts includes Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland, Lil J and Michelle Williams.
“Working with local experts in these markets I am comfortable that my artists will be able to do more shows, performing for more fans in the coming years,” Knowles said in a statement.
Mirage Promotions, established in Bahrain in 1992, had promoted live events in the region for Westlife, Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys and Brian Ferry, and has been enlisted as tour producer for performances by Jennifer Lopez in Athens, Dubai and Mumbai.
Mirage GM Thomas Ovesen said, “Having worked together on the 2005 sell out Destiny’s Child concert in Dubai we look forward to working with Mathew and his talents again – as one of the most significant and talented contemporary artists the Beyonce 2007 tour is certain to attract worldwide interest and huge ticket sales.”
