NAA Venues Attracted More Than 7m Ticket Buyers In 2016


LONDON (VIP-NEWS) — National Arenas Association (NAA), that represents 22 arenas across the UK and Ireland, attracted audiences of more than 11 million people in 2016, according to newly-released figures.

Its 2016 research reports have revealed average attendance to be 5,398 per show. Music was comfortably the most popular event type, drawing a total of 7,046,021 fans to 1,087 concerts (averaging 6,482). Average ticket price was £43.05.

Established in 2001, the NAA operates as a informal industry body, sharing best practice and training in areas such as evet management, health and safety, ticketing, customer service and accessibility. Derby Arena became its latest member last year.

Six of the venues are also members of the European Arenas Association (EAA). The 36 EAA venues attracted in excess of 17m people to events in 2016, averaging 6,120 people per show.
