SEOUL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A pair of Korean and Chinese talent agencies have entered into a pact to represent each other's clients, Variety has reported.
According to the report, the deal will give both firms, Korea's Namoo Actors and China's Chengtian Entertainment, access to each other's infrastructure and the second and third largest entertainment markets respectively.
Chengtian is a stakeholder in the upcoming John Woo film "Red Cliff" as well as a collection of closely budgeted feature films called New Cinema City and reps performers such as Tang Yan, Hao Lei, Jiang Yiyan and Song Jia. Chengtian is reported to have become a major vehicle for investment in film projects and is also 20% owned by Japanese management firm Avex.
Namoo is one of Korea's top talent agencies, representing artists like Kim Tae Hee, Song Min Ji and Kim Hyo Sun the Variety article reported. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
