Nederlander Adds News Markets; Moss Jacobs Joins As VP

The Nederlander Organization has added two Southern California venues to its line of exclusive booking and promotion contracts – the Santa Barbara Bowl and San Diego Civic Auditorium and Golden Hall. The company also has concert promotion exclusives with Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, Staples Center, the Greek Theatre and Bakersfield Centennial Garden, and manages the Pantages Theatre, the Wilshire Theatre and the Henry Fonda Theatre.

In addition, former Goldenvoice principal Moss Jacobs has joined Nederlander's talent booking team as vice president. Prior to Goldenvoice, Jacobs was general manager/sr. talent buyer at Avalon Attractions, now an SFX company.

"Nederlander has offered me a great opportunity," said Jacobs. "While it has been great owning Goldenvoice, I realized, like several others in the industry, that being an owner takes a lot of time away from my true love, which is promoting and programming."

Nederlander Chairman James M. Nederlander added, "We believe the timing is perfect for Moss to join us. His extensive knowledge of the Santa Barbara and San Diego markets and mix of talent and venue relationships will be a wonderful addition to our team."

In recent months, Goldenvoice has been eyed by Concerts West, who has neither denied nor confirmed their interest in the company.
