(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Major acts including David Gray, Ronan Tynan, Rosanne Cash, Madeleine Peyroux, the Indigo Girls and Odetta will all make appearances at the 2006 Dunkin’ Donuts Newport Folk Festival, set for August 4-6 at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island.
Tynan and Cherish the Ladies will kick off the weekend festival with an evening of Celtic song under the stars at the nearby Tennis Hall of Fame on Friday, August 4th.
Saturday, August 5th will feature Gray, Cash, Louisiana slide guitar master Sonny Landreth, Bettye LaVette, Chris Smither and The Duhks on the Dunkin’ Donuts Fort stage. On the Pavilion Stage, Rosalie Sorrels, Darrell Scott, Mary Gauthier, Sonya Kitchell and Jeffrey Scott will make appearances. Blou, Beolach and Hot Toddy will all play sets on the Waterside Stage.
On Sunday, August 6th, The Indigo Girls, Peyroux, Patty Larkin and Keller Williams will all perform. Funk legend Odetta, The Wood Brothers, Tim Eriksen & Riley Baugus, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Mimi Fox and Muriel Anderson will also play sets on the Pavilion Stage, with other acts performing on the Waterside Stage.
