Nominees For the 72nd Golden Globes Announced


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — In another of the seemingly endless series of award ahow announcements, the Golden Globes have revealed the nominations for the 72nd edition of the storied trophy fest.

Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the ceremony will air live from the Beverly Hills Hotel in California on January 11.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's comedy "Birdman" led the pack in the film section with seven nominations, including for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, while Richard Linklater's coming-of-age drama came in a close second with 5 nods, including for Best motion picture – drama.

On the television side, "Fargo" led with five nominations, including best TV miniseries or movie. The best drama series nominations went to "The Affair," "Downton Abbey," "Game of Thrones," "The Good Wife" and "House of Cards." The nominees for best TV comedy series are: "Girls," "Jane the Virgin," "Orange is the New Black," "Silicon Valley" and "Transparent."
