NY Jets Sign With TM For Secondary Market Operations

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

The New York Jets have moved its authorized secondary ticketing operations to Ticketmaster, selecting Ticketmaster's TeamExchange as the only authorized source for Jets season ticket resale and aftermarket purchase. Replacing StubHub, Ticketmaster's TeamExchange enables the Jets season ticket holders to sell tickets they are unable to use to other season ticket holders and wait list members in a legitimate, secure, and team sanctioned online environment located at newyorkjets.com. The Jets TeamExchange launched this season along with newly enhanced Ticketmaster ticketing technology designed to add a new level of convenience and value for the team's season ticket holders and waiting list fans.

"The Jets are committed to optimizing their fans experience at every level," said Robert Parente, vice president of Business Operations, New York Jets. "Now, with Jets TeamExchange, season ticket holders have more freedom than ever before to resell and forward tickets to any games they cannot attend. Not only does Ticketmaster's TeamExchange system empower season ticket holders, but it also helps protect consumers from unauthorized resellers and ticket scam artists. The completely automated secondary market ticketing system will help the Jets achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction, providing season ticket holders unparalleled access and control of their tickets, along with the freedom to make the most of their season ticket investment."

Fans who purchase Jets tickets through TeamExchange will receive their event tickets (complete with a new and unique barcode for entry) via email through Ticketmaster's ticketFast online delivery system. Tickets purchased through TeamExchange will arrive to the buyer from Ticketmaster as a PDF file, which the recipient can download for printing. The season ticket holder's original tickets will be canceled and invalidated and the team will credit the season ticket holder's account. Utilizing Ticketmaster's TeamExchange product, the Jets are providing fans with an authenticated electronic transaction between season ticket holders and waiting list fans interested in purchasing tickets located in seating sections where they otherwise would not have access.

As part of the new ticketing agreement, the Jets will continue to utilize Ticketmaster's state-of-the-art ticketing platform, which includes AccountManager, a system that enables season ticket holders to manage their accounts and tickets online through the Jets Web site. AccountManager subscribers are able to update account information, receive personalized notifications from the team and sell or email their season tickets to others using the ticketFast, Ticket Forwarding and TeamExchange technologies. With Ticket Forwarding, season ticket holders can further maximize use of their tickets by forwarding tickets they are unable to use to family, friends or clients electronically, up to two hours before the game. Once the tickets have been forwarded through email, the recipient simply downloads and prints the tickets using Ticketmaster's ticketFast technology.

"The Jets provide top-of-the-line service to their season ticket holders and waiting list fans alike," said Jeff Hecker, general manager, Ticketmaster New York. "We're pleased to provide the team with a fan-friendly system that adds value to the season package and makes it easy for fans to buy and sell tickets through the only Jets authorized aftermarket site and the only secondary channel that can guarantee a legitimate valid ticket."
