OCESA Continues To Bring Major League Baseball To Mexico City

(CelebrityAccess News Service) — For the third time in four years, OCESA Presents Inc., the New York-based international promoter division of Corporacion Interamericana de Entretenimiento S.A. de C.V. (BMV: CIE B), the leading live entertainment company serving the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets in Latin America, the United States and Spain, is bringing Major League Baseball back to Mexico City.

World Series Champion Florida Marlins will play the Houston Astros in two exhibition games at Foro Sol stadium on March 13 and 14.

“It’s a great thrill to bring the 2003 World Champs to play the Houston Astros, at Foro Sol stadium,” says Phil Ernst, president, OCESA Presents Inc. “We’re looking forward to some more great Major League Baseball in Mexico City.”

In 2003, OCESA promoted two pre-season games, which pitted rivals the New York Mets against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Those games drew more than 37,000 Mexican baseball fans.
