MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Megarampage, a single-day sports and music event planned for Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on October 31 has been scrapped due to poor ticket sales.
The event was set to feature The Offspring, Good Charlotte Lil Jon, COG and Mammal, Wu-Tang Clan, Kelley James and Shaman Son along with a 9 story tall BMX ramp.
Also planned for the even were some top names in BMX and skateboarding, including Jake Brown, Danny Way, Bob Burnquist and Morgan Wade.
Ultimately, slow ticket sales led organizers to pull the plug on the event. The band Offspring has since cancelled dates in Sydney and Brisbane, stating that "Due to the cancellation of the Megarampage event in Melbourne, the Offspring's brief Australian tour has also been cancelled."
Lil' John and the Wu Tang Clan have indicated that they plan on continuing with their Australian dates despite the cancellation. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
