CLEVELAND, OH (CelebrityAccess) — Northeast Ohio just got a new concert venue with the announcement of the 400-seat On Air Studio concert club on the east bank of the Flats.
The facility, attached to Crop Rocks restaurant at and is being directed by Crop Restaurant Group chef and managing partner Steve Schimoler.
Elevation Croup, which launched the Trinity Cathedral Concerts in 2014 is taking over booking the newly renovated Goodyear Theater and Goodyear Hall concert venues in Akron, will handle all the talent for the facility.
The Goodyear Theater has staged shows this year by the Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair and Gavin DeGraw. Country star Josh Turner will be at the facility on Thursday, May 12. Other acts scheduled to perform there include Americana artist Jason Isbell and country musician Sara Evans.
Former Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Terry Stewart is a consulting partner for On Air Studio.
"What [Schimoler] has built is very impressive and will definitely set a new standard for the consumer and artist experience in Northeast Ohio,'' said Stewart in a release announcing the new venue.
The "soft opening'' for the On Air Studio is Saturday, and will be a private venture with the Boston-based band RIPE. Later shows for this summer to be announced. Ticketing will be found on ticketfly.com.
