Opry Operator Eyes More Venues In Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Nashville-based Ryman Hospitality Properties, the company behind the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry revealed that they are considering launching new music venue in Nashville.

"It's something that we are really focused on, and we think that could be an exciting thing," Colin Reed, CEO of Ryman Hospitality, said in a quarterly earnings conference call with investors last week.

The venue in question would be located in the building which currently houses the 6,000 square foot building on Broadway and Third Avenue that currently houses the Opry Originals store. The building also has two vacant floors above. Ryman Hospitality acquired the building last year.

Reed also revealed that Ryman Hospitality was weighing upgrades to the Wildhorse Saloon, a restaurant/concert venue in Nashville.

"We're also looking at revamping the Wildhorse that we own downtown as well on Second Avenue to take advantage of what is going on here," Reed said. "So yes, we will selectively deploy more capital to take advantage of this tremendous surging business that we're seeing here in Nashville." – Staff Writers
