Ozzy Reportedly Seeking Treatment For Sex Addiction

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rocker John 'Ozzy' Osbourne has revealed that he's been in therapy to treat his 'sex addiction.'

"Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a sex addiction," Osbourne said in a statement to ABC News, Wednesday, adding, "I have gone into intense therapy."

The news comes after months after a very public split, and eventual reconciliation with his wife of 33 years, and manager Sharon Osbourne.

According to ABC News, the statement also confirmed that Osbourne had had a years-long affair with his longtime hair colorist, Michelle Pugh.

Pugh told ABC that the sexual addiction doesn't jibe with her understanding of Ozzy, noting that she worked with the performer for years before their relationship took on extra-professional dimensions. – Staff Writers

Sexual addiction is characterized by compulsive participation or engagement in sexual activity, particularly sexual intercourse, despite negative consequences, however, at present, it is not a recognized disorder in either the DSM or ICD medical classifications of diseases and medical disorders.
