Paisley Hits The Mohegan Sun For His First Post CMA Concert

UNCASVILLE, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In the music industry, timing is everything and the Mohegan Sun managed to pull off a coup with the first post-victory booking for Brad Paisley, who is fresh off of winning his first ever 'Entertainer of the Year' Award at the Country Music Awards last week.

"Sometimes you get lucky and we really were with his first play hot off the award," said Tom Cantone, Vice President of Sports & Entertainment for Mohegan Sun.

Paisley performed to a full house and solid reviews on Friday in Mohegan Sun's Arena at the head of a triple bill, along with Justin Moore and Darius Rucker. Paisley is currently on the road with his H20 tour and in less than five months has played to over 750,000 fans.

Cantone, who is well known for his timely bookings and for his innovative approach to casino entertainment over the years, presented Paisley with a special gift after the show. Cantone credits his team for making the right selections at the right time.

Other winners at this year's CMA Awards who have had their casino debuts at the Mohegan Sun include Lady Antebellum (Best Vocal Group and Single of the Year), the Zac Brown Band (New Artist) and Trace Adkins with Blake Shelton (Music Event).

"We like to track who’s the next big thing and hopefully book them early into one of our venues and then watch them take off and hopefully return here even bigger." Cantone told CelebrityAccess. – Ian Courtney
