NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny will be hitting the road in the Fall of 2009 in support of his forthcoming album, to be released on Nonesuch records in the fall of '09.
From his custom-made 42-string guitar, to his use of guitar synths, Metheny has always been at the forefront of innovation with his art. This tour will be no different as he will be bringing along his Orchestrion, a custom-designed collection of mechanical instruments controlled entirely from Pat's guitar. The device will allow Metheny to uniquely perform ensemble pieces while being the only performer on stage.
