Paulina Ahokas Leaves Music Export Finland This Week

LONDON (VIP NEWS) — Paulina Ahokas leaves Music Export Finland at the end of this week to take on a new mission as Managing Director of Tampere Hall in Finland.

In her personal farewell to the people she has worked with over the years she writes:

Working at Music Export Finland has been a pleasure and an honour, and you people have made it the exciting and inspiring, and occasionally mystifying, mission it has been. During the nine years, Music Export Finland has grown from a one-woman mission with a 75,000-euro turnover into a 12-strong professional team with an over 4 million euro action volume: an accomplishment and a sales result of which we are extremely proud, especially in a country as small as Finland, at a time of global recession and of great challenges to the music industry at large.

This investment in music exports by Finnish music companies has been directly reflected in the growing total market value of Finnish music exports.

If there is one thing that I am personally proud of it is my skills as a recruiter: my team all have entrepreneur backgrounds, a unique drive and a love of detail. I know they will make me proud and happy by taking Music Export Finland and its successor Music Finland to even greater heights in the future.

There are so many people to thank and so many things to be thankful for. My heartfelt gratitude goes to my Nordic export family, our boards and members, all the professional event organizers and consultants we have worked with, all the partners that have invested in the future of Finnish music exports, and all our clients both in Finland and abroad. It has been an incredible journey, on which I have heard and learned a lot from everyone reading this, and I am honoured to have taken it with you all. It’s been a great trip!

With warmest regards, Paulina
