SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Labor Party member and Midnight Oil front man Peter Garrett has helped organize and will headline a Rockin’ For Rights concert to follow a protest rally against the Federal Government’s industrial relations laws next month.
Acts set for the concert include Youth Group, the Screaming Jets, Something for Kate, You Am I and the Hoodoo Gurus. The event is being staged by Unions NSW.
“Never before has there been a more critical time to get out and rock for our rights,” Garrett told Australia’s Herald Sun.
“This incredible line-up of Australia’s best will bring punters from far and wide whose future work experience is up for grabs under the howard government’s WorkChoices legislation.”
