Petter Singsaas To Step Down As Head Of UMG Norway


OSLO, Norway (CelebrityAccess) — Longtime Universal Music Norway chief Petter Singsaas has announced that he is exiting his role at the label giant.

Singsaas's final day will be Sept. 1st and he will be leaving his post under 'mutual agreement' according to Music Business Worldwide.

Singsaas will launch a new joint venture with Universal that will focus on Recording, Publishing, Management, Corporate events and Bookings, MBW added.

Singsaas, with 22 years at the head of Universal Music Norway, was the longest-serving label head in the Scandinavian nation. He will also be the sixth territorial head to step down from his position at UMG this year, following a major restructuring at the start of 2016. – Staff Writers
