Plea Deal Reached In Indy State Fair Collapse Fraud

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — An Indianapolis woman plead guilty to attempting to collect money for injuries sustained in the Indiana State Fair Stage collapse, despite not being present during the tragedy.

According to Indianaopolis news outlet WTHI, Stephanie Murry, along with her aunt Sandra Hurn were charged with falsely submitting claims totaling more than $22,000 to a private relief fund as well as the state's tort claim fund. Authorities say that neither Murry or Hurn were present at the fair the night of the collapse.

Murry has plead guilty to forgery and perjury charges and has accepted a plea deal that will see her serve four years of work release with 1 year of probation and 100 hours of community service. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
