Police Scuffle At Houston Club Sparks Controversy

HOUSTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Houston police were called to Walter's on Washington on Friday night after a nearby resident allegedly filed a noise complaint. Indy rock duo Two Gallants were four songs into their set. According to reports, an officer arrived at the location to investigate the complaint. Witnesses claim that the officer climbed on stage and confronted the band, appearing to try to end the concert. A scuffle soon developed between guitarist Adam Stephens and the officer which expanded to include some members of the audience and a taser. A number of instruments were damaged during the donnybrook and a person who had been recording the incident with a camera was also allegedly assaulted by the police officer. The police officer maintains that the band instigated the incident but numerous witnesses have claimed that the police initiated the conflict.
