Promoter Joe Lambusta – Dead At 67

ORLANDO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran Orlando concert promoter Joe Lambusta died suddenly on July 10th at the age of 67. The cause of death was not reported.

Booking his first shows in 1971, Lambusto was a fixture in the Orlando scene, with two idependent promotion companies, HBS Productions and Magic Productions before moving into real estate in the mid 1990s, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Lambusta organized the Rock Super Bowl concerts at the Tangerine Bowl during the '80s and was also instrumental in bringing top tier talent such as the Stones and Eric Clapton to the central Florida market.

When I moved here in 1980, he was one of the biggest promoters,” Mick Dolan, a DJ at 103.1 FM (WLOQ) told the Sentinel. “Without Joe, it would’ve been a much more barren concert environment in Central Florida. He took us through a great period. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
