GUAYNABO, PR Latin American concert promoter Jose Muniz has joined Evenpro Group and XYZ Live, according to the companies.
The Evenpro Group, which has equity in the Brazil-based XYZ Live, has offices in Miami; Caracas, Venezuela; Bogota, Colombia; San Jose; Costa Rica; Lima, Peru; and Orlando, Fla. Muniz will be based in Orlando.
As president for Evenpro, Muniz will divide his time between Brazil and Latin America.

Muniz, former SVP of Time for Fun-U.S.A., started his career as a concert promoter in Brasilia, Brazil in 1983 with Metal Productions to focus on new artists. In 1984 he moved to Sao Paulo and in 1986 moved to promoting international artists. After several tours that included work with Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull and Deep Purple, Muniz formed Mercury Concerts in 1990.
In 2000, Muniz sold Mercury concerts to CIE/OCESA and became their director of entertainment. In 2004, he moved to New York as VP of Ocesa Presents. The promoter has also worked on tours with Pearl Jam, Rush and Aerosmith, among others acts.
