Rebecca Allen Named President Of Decca UK

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Universal Music announced the promotion of longtime UMG veteran Rebecca Allen to the position of President of Decca Records Group UK.

Allen will continue to report jointly to David Joseph and Dickon Stainer, President and CEO of Global Classics and Jazz, in her new role, which is effective immediately.

Allen is stepping up to her new post after 17 years at Universal Music, where she has held a variety of posts, including serving as Decca’s Director of Media, General Manager and, since November 2014, Managing Director.

While at Decca, Allen collaborated on a number of hit records, including Gregory Porter and The Shires, as well as UK number one albums with Rod Stewart and The Lumineers.

Allen started her career at the BBC where she worked with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and later the BBC Proms. She later signed on with Universal Classics & Jazz in 1999 and remained with the label after it was re-named Decca Records UK in 2009. – Staff Writers
