LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Leonardo DiCaprio's wilderness epic "The Revenant" took home top honors at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, winning trophies for best picture, best director and best actor.
In accepting his award, the film's director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu said the film was the most difficult of his career, telling the audience, "We all in this room know that pain is temporary but the film is forever."
Brie Larson won best actress for her role in the Brit indie film "Room."
The Ridley Scott-directed science fiction adventure "The Martian" won best musical or comedy motion picture as well as a best actor for a comedy or musical honor for star Matt Damon at the ceremony Sunday night.
"I’ve made a lot of movies that people just didn’t go see, so [it is great] to make one that everyone enjoyed this much," Damon said, accepting his award.
"Mr. Robot" took home top honors for best televised drama series. Jon Hamm of Mad Men won the prizer top actor. Taraji and Henson, won best actress for her role in “Empire”
