CHARLOTTE, NC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Rick Ross has canceled a pair of concerts in North Carolina over suspected threats from a criminal organization.
Ross, a performer and founder of Maybach Music Group label collective, was set to perform with label-mates Wale, Meek Mill and Machine Gun Kelly in Greensboro on Dec. 7th and Charlotte on Dec. 8th but both shows have been canceled.
According to the Charlotte Observer, an online video from the the North Carolina chapter of the Gangster Disciples warned Ross against coming to the state, and took issue with apparent disrespect from Ross towards one of their leaders and recogition signs. The nearly ten-minute video adds that should the group catch Ross, his "time was through" and that he should know his penalty.
The tour's promoter, Live Nation is offering refunds for ticket for the two shows but did not stipulate a reason for the canceled dates. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
