Robbie Announces European Stadium Tour

LONDON (VIP-NEWS) — Robbie Williams has announced that he will be embarking on a European stadium tour in 2013 and will be supported by special guest Olly Murs.

The Take That singer, who has just completed a three-night stint at London's O2 Arena, will be kicking off his 15-date tour on June 19 at Manchester's Etihad Stadium where he will perform a second night on June 21. Robbie will then travel to Glasgow, London's Wembley Stadium, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Milan and Munich before finishing in Zurich on August 20.

The 'Let Me Entertain You' singer held a press conference in London Monday where he announced the news.

"I’ve got such a buzz out of playing live again this year. The shows we have done have reminded me how special it is to play my songs in front of a huge audience, with all the excitement and adrenaline that it can bring. Bring on 2013!!" Robbie said.

The singer then brought out 'Troublemaker' singer Olly Murs, who will be joining Robbie on all of the dates.

"Everyone knows I am a huge fan of Robbie, and I’m honored to call him my friend. He’s been a huge inspiration to me and given me so much advice throughout my career so far. When he asked me to join him on tour I was over the moon!" Olly said.

The stadium announcement shouldn't come as a surprise after 50,000 tickets for his recent O2 shows were sold in less than an hour.

The 2013 dates will be the first time Robbie has embarked on a full tour in more than six years and comes hot on the heels of his success with his latest album Take The Crown which became Robbie's first number one record in eight years and spawned 'Candy' which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Olly is currently riding high off the success of his new single 'Troublemaker' which is this week's number one. The Xtra Factor host is no doubt hoping to replicate the success with his third album Right Place Right Time, which was released today.
