Rodems Named General Manager Of Stockton Arena

STOCKTON, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — IFG, the managing company of the Stockton Events Center, has named James M. Rodems as general manager of the new Stockton Arena.

Rodems comes from the University of California at Davis where he opened and was Director of The ARC (Activities and Recreation Center) and The Pavilion. He will manage the 10,000-seat facility along with overseeing the operations of the 5,000 seat Stockton Ballpark and Oak Park Ice Arena.

"I am both excited and honored to have been selected as the General Manager of IFG-Stockton Management. As a long time San Joaquin Valley resident I believe that the Stockton Waterfront Event Complex is one of the most enterprising to come to the Valley in years. I take great pride in the fact that we will expand the entertainment opportunities to a City and County that has been greatly neglected for many years. This will be a renaissance for the City of Stockton and I look forward to being a part of this City's future," said Rodems.

The Stockton Arena will open Fall 2005 on the downtown waterfront and will host a variety of live performances, including concerts and family shows. It will also serve as the home of an ECHL
hockey team, an AFL 2 football team and a MISL team, the California Cougars. The Arena is the highlight of Stockton's downtown redevelopment, which includes the restoration of the 2,046 seat Bob Hope Theatre and the newly built Stockton Ballpark. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
