(CelebrityAccess News Service) – Jim McCue, facility sales and marketing vice president the Rose Garden for the past seven years, resigned his position voluntarily after Steve Patterson, new president of the Portland Trail Blazers and Oregon Arena Corp., announced that 30 percent of the workforce would be laid off.
"My contract has expired, and with the re-structure it seemed a good time to depart," McCue told CelebrityAccess. "Besides the friends I made at the Rose Quarter, I am proud of the past year. Beyond concerts, we broke new ground with events such as the Roy Jones Jr. World Championship Boxing match, Tony Hawk, and landed the 2005 US Figure Skating Championships."
McCue said he plans to his career in entertainment and sports and
"am grateful for all my industry friends who have reached out to me in the
past week."
