DENMARK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Roskilde Festival, a Denmark staple for over 30 years, has pledged to donate 1,000,000 Denmark Kroners – the equivalent of almost 180,000 U.S. dollars – to help victims of the recent tsunami in Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka.
The money will be given through DanChurchAid which already has a massive aid operation underway in the region. The donation is earmarked for protein crackers, clothing and medicine for nearly 300,000 survivors in India and another 100,000 in southern Sri Lanka.
