Sam Selolwane Promoted To Vice President Urban Promotion At RCA


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — RCA Records announced that they have promoted Sam Selolwane to the post of Senior Vice President Urban Promotion. Selolwane will be based in the label's New York offices and will report to report to Geo Bivins, RCA's Executive Vice President.

Selolwane started her career as a radio programmer and on air personality, later transitioning to promotion executive 12 years ago with Jive/RCA Records/Sony. After 5 years a tthe label she was named National Urban Promotion “Executive of the Year” by industry organization Street Information Network and played a significant role in launching the radio careers of Chris Brown and T-Pain, both of which garnered #1 and Top 10 singles on their debut efforts.

As Vice President of Urban Promotion, RCA Records, Selolwane developed national radio campaigns for the label's roster, developing RCA into the #1 UAC Label and #3 Urban Mainstream label in 2014, the company said.

Selolwane is a graduate of Morgan State University and holds a B.A. in Mass Media Communications, with a concentration in Radio & Television Production. – Staff Writers
