Seal Departs Shock

MELBOURNE, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Marcus Seal has left his post as managing director and board member at Australian indie music conglomerate Shock Group.

According to Billboard, Seal had been managing director for a year, which gave him oversight of the company's diverse portfolio of entertainment-related interests, including Shock Music Publishing, One Stop Entertainment, Shock Records and Shock's touring division, Ragged Company.

Seal, formerly an exec at Sony BMG was somewhat reticent about his reasons for leaving, telling Billboard via email that, "It just feels like the right time, I'd like to get a fresh perspective. I've been with record labels since my early 20s and achieved the role of CEO at 36."

Seal was equally ambiguous about his future plans, stating "I've got a great deal of curiosity about the future and I just need to immerse myself in all the possibilities and see where the next path leads." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
