BETHLEHEM, PA (CelebrityAccess) — Musikfest, the music and arts festival staged in Bethlehem will feature comedy on their main stage this year, with a performance by Jerry Seinfeld. This will be the first non-musical act to headline the main stage since the festival's inception in 1984.
According to the Morning Call, fest organizers ArtsQuest will ensure that Seinfeld's comedy set can be heard by idling the nearby Levitt Pavilion’s Americaplatz stage and scheduling an acoustic artist on the Town Square stage outside of the ArtsQuest Center
“It’s groundbreaking for the festival,” said Patrick Brogan, vice-president of programming for ArtsQuest told The Morning Call. “If we’re going to do it on the main stage, we want the best and we know we have that in Jerry Seinfeld. He’s an iconic comedian and we couldn’t be more excited.”
