ANNAPOLIS, MD (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the Annapolis-based Silopanna Music Festival announced that the event has been canceled for 2015 and that its future going forward is in doubt.
Erin McNaboe, vice president of Rams Head Group, the company behind the fest, told the Capitol Gazette, that the cancellation was a a business decision and that they would continue booking shows at its other venues.
"We will always be looking for ways to expand our portfolio, but at this time, Silopanna Music Festival will not be in that mix," McNaboe told The Gazette. "Silopanna 2014 was an event to remember! We ended on a high note."
The festival, which was intended to debut in 2011 was canceled in the wake of Hurricane Irene but returned in August, 2012, with a lineup that included CAKE and G. Love & Special Sauce. The festival was canceled again in 2013, with promoters stating that they had trouble filling the lineup but staged the event in 2014 with a bill that featured The Flaming Lips, Dashboard Confessional, and Matt & Kim as headliners. – Staff Writers
