Silva & Hewitt Join Live Nation

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has struck a deal to bring aboard two veteran Los Angeles-based concert promoters; Andrew Hewitt and Bill Silva.

In their new roles with Live Nation, Silva and Hewitt will oversee booking, marketing and promotion of concerts in the Southern California and Las Vegas markets, including at some of Live Nation's signature venues such as The Wiltern, Hollywood Palladium, the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino and the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in San Diego.

Silva and Hewitt have long experience in the region, having worked together since forming Andy Hewitt & Bill Silva Presents in 1991 to promote rock and pop shows at the Los Angeles County-owned Hollywood Bowl. Since then, the pair have produced concerts in venues ranging from clubs to major stadiums, with a list of artists that includes Eric Clapton, Coldplay, Madonna, The Police, Radiohead, Rolling Stones and U2.

Silva also runs a management company, Bill Silva Management (BSM), through which he oversees the careers of a roster that includes Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Good Old War, and others.

"Andrew and Bill have some of the best relationships in the business and have distinguished themselves as true innovators and gifted music executives," said Bob Roux, Co-President of Live Nation Concerts. "Their proven talent and wealth of experience in working with both emerging artists and established superstars, combined with their incredible business acumen will help us to further develop and grow our business in Southern California and Las Vegas." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
