Slade Frontman To Cash In At Christmas

LONDON (VIP NEWS) — Remember Hugh Grant`s character Will from About A Boy, who`s never had to work a day in his life because he lives off the royalties he makes from a Christmas song his father wrote?

Well, it looks like the children of Slade frontman Noddy Holder will be living the same situation for years to come when they receive his royalties for the band`s 1973 hit `Merry Christmas Everybody.`

According to NME, Holder is expected to receive over £800,000 in 2013 alone, for topping the list of songwriters who will reap the rewards of their Christmas-themed songs being on high rotation this holiday season.

In second place Celtic folk-punks The Pogues also scored big with their classic `Fairytale Of New York`, which will rake in £520,000, while Mariah Carey`s `All I Want For Christmas Is You`, will collect £455,000.
