LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — SMG Europe announced that they have signed a deal that will see Ticketmaster as its Official Ticketing Partner at the expiry of its current ticketing contract. The move is expected to take place by summer 2018.
The deal will also see Ticketmaster's resale platform become the official resale marketplace for SMG Europe's inventory of UK venues.
SMG Europe is the UK’s largest arena venue manager and operates Manchester Arena, first direct Arena Leeds and Metro Radio Arena Newcastle as well as a number of theaters and smaller venues. The Group also includes CGC Event Caterers which manages event hospitality and catering for in-house venues and external clients across the UK and Europe.
SMG Europe's current ticketing contract, which they signed in 2013, was with German-based ticket giant CTS Eventim and the agreement follows a successful collaboration between Live Nation and SMG over the under-construction Bristol Arena. – Staff Writers
