SMG Moves Into South America With Movistar Management Pact

SANTIAGO, Chile (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SMG has been tapped by Hiller Inversiones to manage the Movistar Arena. The 16,419-capacity, 31,000 square meter arena complex also includes as multipurpose sports courts, 2 exhibition halls, 5 private meeting rooms and 23 VIP suites and boxes. This year, the venue has hosted performances by WWE, Jamiroquai, John Fogerty, Kenny Rogers, Ennio Morricone, Backstreet Boys, Motley Crue, Seal, and Ozzy Osbourne.

SMG is no stranger to the facility was selected to manage the arena following a 3-year consulting contract with Hiller Inversiones that saw the venue acquire a major naming rights deal and in 2010 surpassed more than a 100 days of occupancy.

The Movistar Arena will be overseen by Jochi Davila, who has been involved in the project since 2007.
