SNOCAP Taps Execs Bruce Taylor and Karin Visnick to Strengthen Company’s Role in Growing Digital Music Industry

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SNOCAP, the first end-to-end provider of digital licensing, copyright management services and artist distribution for the digital music marketplace, today announced that it has appointed Bruce Taylor to the position of vice president of marketing and promoted Karin Visnick to vice president, product management.

Taylor will drive marketing and events planning aimed at increasing artist and consumer adoption of SNOCAP’s digital media products, in addition to managing corporate communications. Visnick, who joined SNOCAP in 2005 as a director, oversees the development and deployment of SNOCAP’s products that empower artists and labels to promote and sell their music through digital retailers and the SNOCAP MyStore.

”SNOCAP leads the industry in providing a next-generation platform for artists to distribute their music over the Internet and make a direct connection with their fans through the digital sale of content,” said Rusty Rueff, chief executive officer for SNOCAP. “These two talented and experienced executives each bring tremendous expertise and savvy to the executive team and will help drive the next phase of company growth. We’re very pleased to welcome Bruce and promote Karin.”

Taylor has more than 15 years of experience in marketing strategy and program execution, and was an early leader in developing successful marketing efforts in the area of e-commerce. Prior to joining SNOCAP, Taylor served as the senior manager of global interactive marketing for Dolby Laboratories, Inc., where he directed the company's worldwide interactive marketing programs, including a global rebranding of the company’s corporate website properties and strategic planning for consumer event promotions and sponsorships. He previously played leadership roles at Agency.com, an interactive marketing and technology agency owned by the Omnicom Group, and at Personify, Inc., a provider of web profiling and analytics software whose clients included Williams-Sonoma, Patagonia and Ofoto. Taylor holds a master’s of business administration degree from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School.

“I’m proud to join the SNOCAP team’s efforts toward enabling online music commerce for artists and music fans everywhere,” Taylor said. “SNOCAP provides a fundamental shift in the way that music retailers, rightsholders and consumers interact online, and I look forward to helping make the SNOCAP vision of bringing more music to more people through more outlets a reality.”

A veteran of more than 10 years in product management and marketing at companies ranging from start-ups to major institutions, Visnick gained a wealth of relevant experience when she helped launch Yahoo! Shopping in 1998. Subsequently, as director of production at Yahoo!, she oversaw the product development for the Yahoo! suite of commerce properties, including auctions, travel, shopping, wallet, and personalization tools. Visnick left Yahoo! in 2003 to join HSBC, the world’s second largest international banking corporation, as the senior vice president of global e-marketing. She later became a managing director of the Alliance for Lifelong Learning, an online education consortium of Oxford, Stanford and Yale universities. She holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Virginia.

“I’ve seen e-commerce evolve steadily over the course of my career, but SNOCAP is really kicking things to the next level, providing an innovative platform and tools for content owners that will drive new and deeper relationships between artists and their fans,” said Visnick. “It’s thrilling to lead the development of products that will allow artists to perform a concert and within minutes, upload the content for sale to their fans.”
