Source Code Hints At Facebook Music App

PALO ALTO CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Facebook's rumored music service got a little more real when a software developer announced that he'd discovered details about the service in the sourcecode for the website's video conferencing application.

According to The Mail Online, software developer Jeff Rosen found that the code made reference to a program called 'Vibes' that also linked to a Facebook page called ’Music Download Dialog.’

"As any curious geek would, I started checking things out. I searched around to see what this [Vibes] is all about and it seems that is an unannounced feature yet to be released." Rose wrote on his blog.

Rumors that Facebook would deploy some sort of music service have been rampant and when Facebook integrated Skype as their video chat software earlier this month, many speculated that Facebook might team up with music service Spotify.

It is also worth noting that Vibes may be a placeholder – during development, Facebook called its video chat app 'peep.' – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
