Stamford's Palace Theater Suffers Small Fire

STAMFORD, CT – The historic Palace Theatre was evacuated on November 9th, after a stage curtain caught fire during the showing of a film.

According to the Stamford Advocate, a stage light appears to have set fire to the curtain shortly before midnight at the theatre. Fortunately, a quick-thinking stage hand extinguished the fire with a dry powder extinguisher.

There were no injuries and damage to the historic theatre was minimal. Upcoming shows at the Palace include Shaolin Warriors on Nov. 16, Jerrod Niemann on Nov. 17 and Clay Aiken on Dec. 7th. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
